MEET SHANE

Shane Hutchinson started in the building industry by following in his grandfather’s footsteps.

From a very young age he was onsite or in the workshop learning the trade from his grandfather and developing the passion for what he now gets to do every day for other people. There was never another career option other than building for Shane - this is more than a job it's also his hobby.

Shane has been in the trade since he was 16 and with dedication managed to complete his trade certificate in carpentry by the age of 19. 

After a number of years in the industry working on a wide range of projects from bathroom renos to multi-million-dollar renovations, small modest new homes to large architectural award-winning new builds. Shane has gathered and wide range of building and construction management skills backed by furthering his trade with level five construction management qualifications.

In 2018, Shane and his family decided it was time to take a break from building the dreams and designs of other people and focus on building his own family home in Papamoa. This process was the beginning of Hutchinson Homes.

The approach Hutchinson Homes takes to your project is the same as when Shane built his own home for his family. It is done with care, respect, and clear communication. This provides a fun, exciting, and stress-free build process that reflects in a quality finished product. One you get to enjoy for years to come.
